As some of you may know I am getting a new exhaust. So the question is. . . nonresonated + catted frontpipe or resonated + catted front pipe. I want something loud(my last exhaust droned like a mofo, but I was okay with that), but not raspy. I hate rapsiness. So what should I do? Should the resonator and front pipe combo suffice, or do I need a bit more?

I'd look at what other people are going with the same car.
I'm non catted no muffler but a resonator, and it sounds beautiful....Then again I'm 300+whp and 400wtq turbo charged...

You want the resonator otherwise it'll be loud at constant RPM all the time, aka drone.

I went on the forums, and no one provided a concrete answer on the raspiness of it all. On youtube, I have heard it, but I am not quiet sure still.

Do what I do, just go with it...If you have the money its no issue then, if money is tight work with what you have.

But I don't want to hate my exhaust. I think I might have to play it safe on this one.

I can not think off hand of any aftermarket ones that are good.
If anything comes up on my end though I will let you know...I know a few people with the FRS, if that's the car you are talking about.

That is indeed it. I am probably going Perrin catback and Motiv front pipe. Hopefully that should be loud enough for my ears. If you have any other recommendations lay it on me(not like that) just try to keep the catback under 800 and the front pipe under 400.
